Makeup
See tutorial below...
This is a large auditorium with bright stage lights and we recommend a little tastefully done make-up to help your dancer's features to be seen well.
It also feels very special for the occasion.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUNG CHILDREN WITH COSTUME MAKE-UP TO RE-APPLY THEMSELVES.
NO JEWELRY EXCEPT STUD EARRINGS
The basics:
-Translucent or skin colored powder to reduce shine.
-Rose or Berry cheek to keep a natural tone under lights (boys may opt for a more brown bronzer under cheek bones to define)
-Medium brown eye shadow just on lid to define eye shape. (light brown for boys)
-Mascara to open eyes from a distance. (girls only)
-Non smear lipstick 1-2 shades darker then dancers natural lip (girls only)
This can be done tastefully without looking overly “grown-up” on our young teens. You can find a great tutorials below.
Save yourself the hassle and book your spot to have us do it for you before the show!

Simple, age appropriate makeup to help your child's features stand out.
Appropriate makeup will not "grow up" students. It just insures their beautiful faces will be seen at a distance and under harsh bright lights.
(This tutorial is specifically for girls. If you would like some tips for adding a little color to help your boys be more visible, and would like a theater loving man to give some guidance, Mr Josh would love to help.)
